You Can't Parachute In
"You can't parachute into this terrain"- Stephen Covey, author- 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
A common and costly mistake of student-families pursuing college is to wait until the end to play the game. In football terms, it's analogous to that of jumping in at the 2-minute warning to play the last two minutes.
People too often think they can avoid the process and still get their desired outcomes; that's believing they can parachute in to their preferred college without doing what it takes to get there. It just doesn't work that way and as Stephen Covey states- "You can't..."
For those who wait until the end, believing essential grades will land them into their dream college with a maximum scholarship, their outcome will be met with disappointment, predictable as it is. Their default strategy will cost them admission acceptances and scholarship awards, often resulting in students attending the wrong college, studying the wrong major, and with parents overpaying for college in tens of thousands of dollars.
Not the case for CollegeLogic students and parents. CollegeLogic families are involved early and manage the process from a position of strength, creating unique advantages for themselves along the way.
